The Barn Cat
Owns Trance, Mercy's favorite horse.
The Barn Cat has a special affinity with Trance. Trance will nuzzle/pet the cat and allow the cat to sleep on his back when the cat chooses to do so. There is some limited empirical evidence that suggests the horse will play with the cat with his tail, though the cat will cease any such undignified behavior if it spots a human witness.
